1. Preparation is Key
Before starting the cleaning process, it is important to unplug the blender from the power source to ensure safety. Disassemble the blender by removing the blade, gasket, and any other detachable parts. Rinse them thoroughly with warm water to remove any leftover residue.
2. Use Warm Soapy Water
Fill the blender jar halfway with warm water and add a few drops of dish soap. Secure the lid back on the blender and turn it on for a few seconds to create a soapy mixture. This will help to loosen any stubborn food particles stuck to the jar.
3. Scrubbing and Rinsing
Use a soft sponge or brush to scrub the inside of the blender jar, paying extra attention to areas around the blades. Make sure to clean the gasket and lid as well. Rinse all parts thoroughly with clean water to remove any soap residue.
4. Removing Tough Stains
If there are tough stains or odors in the blender jar, you can use a mixture of baking soda and water to scrub them away. Let the mixture sit for a few minutes before scrubbing and rinsing. Vinegar can also be used to remove stubborn stains.
5. Cleaning the Base
To clean the base of the blender, use a damp cloth or sponge to wipe away any spills or splatters. Be sure to pay attention to the buttons and crevices where dirt can accumulate. Do not submerge the base in water to avoid damaging the motor.
